Submit the report even if you see a possible match
The SPA asks owners to complete its report before contacting it about an animal on the found list. Its reporting page lists the municipalities it serves and links to the form.

Review the SPA’s found animals. If a dog may be yours, call 418-527-9104 after submitting the report to arrange the next step.
Remember to renew your notice
The current SPA form says a missing-animal notice lasts two weeks and can be renewed by request. Put a reminder in your own calendar if the search continues. For neighbourhood posters, use “Chien perdu” with a clear photo, last-seen location and a contact number; ask for sightings without chasing.
While you wait for news
Keep a record of the last-seen time and place, a recent photo and incoming sightings. Search safely and ask people to report a frightened dog without chasing. Use our full lost-dog checklist to coordinate the search.
Identification is one part of the search
